Subs: Cudicini, Makelele, Boulahrouz, Kalou, Wright-Phillips

Peno for Sheff Utd! Mourinho will NOT be happy!

Hilario the hero! Saved! Third peno Sheff Utd have missed this season. Chelsea went down the other end and should have had a penalty, not given.

    Terrible penalty..

Drogba to Lampard, header straight at the keeper. Feck! Have both of them in my FF team, Lampard as captain.

2-0, Ballack with a towering header. Bit like a slam dunk :D

All over at Bramall Lane, deserved victory for Chelsea in a fairly boring game. I thought Wayne Bridge was particularly outstanding, he nevers seems to play a bad pass.

Captain Lampard puts 22 points of the old FF board. Legend. Can't believe people doubt him!

Because Liverpool are only a Mid table team at the moment. Top v third is more attractive.

Incredible first 20 minutes from United, their best play so far this season.

Once I saw the team sheet I knew United would go all out in attack today.
Our best formation 4-4-2, with the blistering width and pace of Ronaldo and Giggs on the side, the attacking of Scholes and Carrick, and the finishing and movement of Rooney and Saha.
The only question was whether or not the defense of Carrick + Back 4 could hold up, and they have exceptionally. Rio in particular has done very well.

Giggs makes such a difference. The few times he has played this season, he looks better than he has been in years.

Havent seen the game but to go to the reebok and score four and not concede is good going. Delighted for Rooney.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭Roddy23

Doyle scores for Reading making it 3-1 to Portsmouth.

Could have done without that, especially with Campbell on a clean sheet.

Good performance by United, Bolton were always going to find a way to pump balls into the box, that's what they do. But our defense - and Vidic, in particular - dealt with them well when they needed to. And 4 goals tells its own story up front. Carrick had a good game too, which is heartening.

Good defending from Everton today. Good point earned.

On another note Utd also looked very strong today.

    Great united performance today.
The first 25 minutes were the best we have played in a long long time, alot of teams struggle in this fixture but we went at it from the start.

Fantastic to see rooney get on the scoresheet again and a hat trick is brilliant. Saha was good, unluck not to score at least 2, giggs had a decent game, once again evra was solid and classy, van der sar was excellent.

The 2 other players bar rooney that really had a big baring on the game, were vidic and carrick. carrick played important role, with 3 curcial passes for the first 3 goals. the first goal was an unbelieveable assist from him and he seemed to grow in confidence from there. his best game so far for united. vidic has been immense since he came back to the team and is starting to show how good he really is. Our 3 main signings this year,Vidic, Evra and Carrick have in recent weeks started to show positive signs that they can really make an impact in the team.

Great win, and on another note, Rossi is having an excellent game for newcastle so far for only his second premiership start. he has hit the bar already. foster was immense for watford against spurs apparantly.
