Dynamics required for an effective LAG style?

Playing the Fitz scalps a few weeks ago and down to three tables, I'm doing well at my table, playing aggressive and winning most pots without a showdown.
I'm sitting behind a comfortable stack (2nd in chips at table), and confident. Cardshark202 then gets moved to the table with a huge stack, and begins to take control, playing super LAG.
Nobody at the table could do anything, any pot you got involved with him in, you had to be prepared to play for your entire stack, and at that stage of the tournament, tight play is not an option (avg stacks are only 8 - 12 BB).

An awful lot of players play LAG, especially online, but most are clueless as to what they're doing, very few play it well.

Reggie played excellent LAG poker that night, and my question is, What dynamics are required for it to be effective?
Is an above average stack essential?

an abkve stack is essential as in stead of you askign them questions for all their chips your being asked for yours. i think its based mostly on putting the opponent under pressure, and hoping that they give up most pots and when they decide to fight back you have 1 of 3 options
    i) you have little invested and let it go
ii) you have them so pot committed you can call without harmign yourself
    iii) you have a monster

i realise i) and ii) slightly contradcit themselves. i.e. if they are medium stacks and push you dont need to get involved, but ii) if they are short stacks its a chepa way of knockign them out.

(i)- Surely a good LAG player would rarely do this?
(ii)- or push, advantage of a big stack.
(iii)- Main reason this style is so effective, guaranteed action.

If a big stack is essential, what strategy is required for the early stages of a tournament?
    Plenty of gambling?

Ty for the complement lazare but I haven't played the scalps in months as far as I remember but last time I went deep I do remember playing very aggro. I can't give much advice I just developed this style naturally and it works best when the table is playing weak tight. If the table is full of aggressive players or super loose calling stations its best to sit tight.
