Will the "thousands of prizes" add up to the total of buyin's and rebuys? IE what money apart from the reg will the organisers be taking?

    Dev.

I would humbly sugest that you would at least get the owner of the site's name correct if you are going to advertise your tourney.

I thought it was Tom. Wht does Devore mean out of curiosity?

The picture looks very nice, and very close to the fishes. I played in a country tourny lst year with a country bumpkin pal of mine and I won 20 gallons of petrol...prizes were the most entertainig part of the tourny.

I reckon a fun turkey/hamper shoot would be fun for Christmas. Most of us just look on our winnigs as more bankroll, at least this way we get to eat:)

Can you please clarify if you are taking 30% of the entry fees PLUS E10 reg a head?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6 irishlad_m12

It is 30% of all takings

During the summer the payout was a follows based on 65 players

    1200- first
    600- second
    400-third
    200- second
    100- fifth

however as stated, the payout depends on the amount of players and the amount of takings

No offence intended with this but I've played in a few of Kiglass GAA clubs poker tournaments and Not one person was happy with the tournament structure, prize money or the way it was ran.
I know its basically fundraising events that they run. I'm not trying to put it down or anything but when you go to a tournament you expect decent cards(they have bad sticky paper ones), decent chips(not great) and decent poker tables(ehh...we had to use the pub tables as they had none). But they got 60 - 70 runners(mostly GAA supporters) so they must be doing something right.
