Bizarre thread i know and dunno if it can be kept in after hours,

But just wondering how much i need to pay if i lose the ticket for the airport carpark,

As i just realise i've lost it

Not the longterm one, just the one at departures/arrivals.

    Anyone have any idea?

(And please all you country folk dont start with this "Theres more to this country than Dublin etc.)

    Thanks in advance (hopefully)

Id say more than likelt, you will have to pay for a full day. Thats what happens in the car parks in town.

Give them a ring @ 1800 204010. It could be more as you can stay in the short term carpark for as long as you want, it just costs more than the long term one. Better to let them know and never know maybe someone handed the ticket in if you lost it on the airport grounds.

Moved from AH, I would say you have to pay for a full day as Katykaboom mentioned. Ring them anyway.

Ah yes, the old "I've lost my ticket" trick. :D

Park in the short term for two weeks, but say you came in this morning but seemed to have lost the ticket. Put on a shocked expression when told that you will have to pay for a full day. :D

Cheap parking without the inconvience of having to get the shuttle bus. :)

Not that simple. They scan the car registrations so have a record on times and dates. Amazing what people try.;)

They may scan the registrations but that's useless if it is not collaborated with other evidence.

    Typical scenario:

Customer: I appear to have lost my parking ticket!
DAA CSA: I'm afraid you will have to pay for a full day.
Customer: A full day, that's going to cost me.(;))
    DAA CSA: Yea €30.
Customer: Could you not just go back over your CCTV and find my registration to see when I came in?. It was just one hour ago!
DAA CSA: We don't have time to be going through all the CCTV footage to find your registration! (translates as I couldn't be bothered - happy days :D:D)
Customer:So I'll have to pay the full daily rate?
    DAA CSA: I'm afraid so.
Customer: €30 - thats a rip off ( for two weeks parking :):):))
DAA CSA: Thanks. (He /she takes a blank ticket and validates it in a machine). Here you are - this ticket will let you out.
Customer: Thanks - I've learned my lesson (:D:D)
    DAA CSA: Next.

BTW - I wouldn't do this myself but I know people who do!

    :) No doubt they do.

They physically go around the carparks and take reg numbers when resources permit. I know a few of the lads and believe me they've seen every scam in the book and know what goes on. Anyway a new carpark system is imminent so they may get a nice bill some day that would have paid for their 3 week holiday lol.
