I think that is more preference than anything else.

I'd look at the warranties on both and the Chassis build. Latitudes are generally built better IMO than any of the home line but I've never seen/touched and XPS.

I have Latitude D810 and am really happy with it. They don't do that model anymore AFAIK. You can get decent graphics cards on some of the Latitude line aswell.

Do your homework on both and see which seems better. I'd get a business laptop for business use though.

As said its down to preference. Do you want to play games at high res etc on your laptop. Also what budget do you have? For Microsoft Pro stuff I'll reiterat the point above. The Latidudes are fine machines.

I ordered a Dell XPS notebook a few days ago for entertainment and professional purposes. I'm a software developer so at times I need a good deal of processing power. A good video card will help free up other hardware resources on your notebook. Of course if you want to play the latest games a good video card is necessary!

I can give you more feedback when my notebook is delivered. I'm thinking the keyboard will probably be too scrunched for my liking though, from what I've read it's quite compact compared to other notebooks of similar size.
