Sky Come Back Offer

I unsubscribed with sky last august and started to use a freesat card. Sky sent me an offer card yesterday offering me half price sky for 3 months and to write off 50% of any unpaid debt i might have with them up to a max of €150. As i have no debt owing they will offer me free equipment ( box and Dish) and installation if I need it just for signing on for 3 months subscription.
Seems like a good deal if I take down existing dish and box and say i need new ones. Which means I can subscribe for 3 months at basic package half price i.e. 3 X €10.75 and I get a new dish and box for €32.25.
has anyone else received this offer and if so am i been a bit presumetious here or is it not as it seems.

Cool they do something similar every once in a while I believe. I think I got the entire package (can't remember what it was called at the time, maybe Sky World) at half price for 3 months.

My plan is to unsubscribe after the 3 months and then have 2 boxes so i can have freesat in kitchen where the wife and me live, and then do the sky news active trick in the sitting room with the other box where the kids live. And as my existing equipment is 5 years old, I am not sure if i would be able to run 2 cables from one dish to 2 boxes, so at least i would have an extra dish if I could'nt.

Switch to sky news ch 501, Press the red button, When sky news active 6 screen appears, take the irish sky card out of box and press the backup button. Box will search for listings for a few secs. Then check out your channel guide... Should be the UK channel guide, IE BBC 1,2,3 AND 4, itv 1, 2,3 AND 4. pLUS itv 2+1, and itv3+1 from 30th Oct. All free!!!!!

V Good ... I assume putting the Irish card back in get you the Irish EPG back ?

Why not just put these channels in 'other channels'?
Then you don't have to worry about taking out your card........
The 'Sky News active' trick is just a waste of time.

The settings sometimes change (black screen). With EPG you get to see programs listings for all week.

It isn't a waste of time. but if you only want BBC r4, then "other channels" might be better,

yes, you assumed right. put irish card back in and after 30secs approx your back to irish epg.
