Hey, thanks for the details. I think this was posted some time ago but it's good to refresh it in the ol' memory.

I was wondering if there is any distinction between amateur entries and those from the well known pro's? I'd hate if I entered something (and I hopefully will) only to have it completely blown out of the water by a professional photographer that's had decades to perfect their portrait technique.

Bit confusing though. What kind of shots exactly are expected or is it a general free for all, as long as a human being is in the shot?

    T.

    And what are the T&C?

apologies for not getting back to you a lot, lot sooner.

We have no huge limitations to what the pics should be. The original idea was that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that any good shot that you think encompasses some of the magic of a person could easily be a contender. Obviously, we are talking primarily about people shots but we are open to all interpretations.

We aren't making distinctions at the moment between pros and amateurs rymus. I wouldn't stress about this too much though because we've not received many entries from the pros so the competition really is wide open. The 500 euros could easily be yours.

Please get your entries in as fast as possible folks to the Cork Independent.

In relation to terms and conditions, we will exhibit the photos in the Bodega for up to a month, online at our site and in the Cork Independent. We will have the right to use the entries to promote the exhibition now and in the future. We won't be selling them to magazines/publications without your permission.

Any further questions, let me know.

Ok folks, the launch of this exhibition is tomorrow night (Friday 1st Dec) at 8pm in the Green Rooms of the Bodega. We will be serving cheese and wine and displaying all of the photos we received. The top 20/30 will then be moved downstairs to the main room of the Bodega to be exhibited until December 18th. The prize of 500 euro will also be awarded.

So if you have entered or are in any way interested, please do come along. We have some fantastic photos and we continue the party afterwards in the Savoy with Freakscene DJs Alan Fadd and Jade and Danascene DJ Jenny Glitt. The photos will also be displayed on the big screens in the Savoy.

    Hope to see you there!!
