NOTE: This is a replica of the same thread on ALL Religion & Spirituality sub-forums. I'm posting it in hope that somebody sees it before BrianCalgary deletes it (again).

I asked normal question in a normal way, nothing differently than JimiTime. And yer, I get to see my post disappearing for reasons below. Why???

    Original story below:

I added a post asking some more questions. However, a few minutes later I see a PM from BrianCalgary saying this.
    JimiTime's thread

    Hey BV

I deleted your post from this Chriatianity thread, because I wish to leave that one to JimiTimes questions alone.

Feel free to start your own thread asking your questions if you'd like.

    Thanks
    Brian

After that I created a new thread saying this.

I added a few Qs of my own to Jimi's new thread however BrianC deleted my post. Here's the PM I've got from him.

Now Brian, please don't delete this, if you do, you will only show the triple or quadriple standards that you invented yourself for some of the people here on the forum. That is unfare, at least to say.
Are you making this forum to be your private one? I didn't think so, you don't have such an authority.

I made an effort designing those Qs and you just shot them like in the old wild west times. This is not a showdown.

After that, BrianCalgary deleted my new thread. I got a new PM saying this.
    Thread
    C'mon BV

PM me if you have a problem.

All I ask is that you begin a new thread with your questions. I believe it will maintain order.

My responsibility as a moderator is to maintain a certain decorum on the board.

    Let us maintain our manners.

    Thanks
    Brian

So please, I ask everybody, who wasn't maintaining his manners? Did I brake the rules just bcos I added - in a polite manner - a few more questions to what JimiTime originally asked - or BrianCalgary for removing my Qs?

PS I'm saving this as a copy of what was going on and making a copy of this on other sub-forum where other people can see it.

I posted it here and will post it in all sub-forums under Religion & Spirituality.
I kindly ask the moderators on Christianity sub-forum to explain this.
    Thank you, BV

So why didn't you just start a new thread? End of problem I would have thought.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

    Yes, you did.

It is considered bad manners on any internet bulliet board to hi-jack a thread, even if it is done politely.

JimiTime's thread was specifically about the questions he asked in the original post. The mod is perfectly right to attempt to keep discussion to the issues raised in the original post. This is known as keeping a thread "on topic".

If you had your own questions that were different to JimiTime's questions you should start a seperate thread, as one thread containing two seperate discussions gets rather confusing and unmanageable.

I believe this is exactly what BC asked you to do. As Wibbs asked what is your objection to starting a new thread?

babyvaio: Aaargh my off topic post was deleted!
BC: Why don't you open your own thread?
babyvaio: Who made you King over this forum! Why should I have start a new thread for my questions - you're oppressing me you are. That's it I'm to post my protestations everywhere so that all an sundry can see this dictatorship for what it is...
BC: But, why can't you open your own thread so that the OP's questions can be answered without disruption?

Threads are not fopr discussing this type of thing. Take it to feedback or discuss it in a sticky at the top but this group is about discussing things not about meta discussion on replicated topics.

If you have a new topic to discuss then do so. If not then dont!
