I'm driving up to Hein Gericke in Newry to do some shopping for new gear. I'm not sure the exact opening hours, I think its from 12 onwards.

Anyone fancy a drive up with me ? I heard some people express an interest the last time I mentioned it.

We could also pass by the famous Crossans if its open.

I believe there's a 10% discount in both places if you tell them you're a member of biker.ie...

Look at the size of the wavy brake disc, and the titanium clutch basket.

I like the way the nice lady has her finger poised over the end of the tailpipe too...

I was in a Hein Gericke shop in Germany yesterday - my god but we are ripped off when it comes to buying gear. Full sets of CE-marked two piece leathers for E199, unbelievable bargains in Cordura gear. It would pay you to go over and buy a helmet and some leathers. Dunno what the one up North is like - anyone been?

Germany is covered with Hein Gericke shops - I was in Dusseldorf, but I was in their shop in Frankfurt last year. There are several chains of stores - take a look at www.louis.de and have your mind (and wallet) stretched. I was looking at the two-piece Probiker leathers (Louis stock nr. 207511) for E119!!!! You couldn't buy a coffee and a muffin for that in most Dublin bike shops.
