anyone know of a good pplace to get a good deal on one of these? Peats and sony centres are ridiculous prices.

I'd be very wary of eBay, especially for high value items like that, and especially from someone with just 15 feedback when the item is new/boxed.
Keep an eye on adverts.ie - I happen to know that a 6 month old fully spec'd Vaio SZ will be going up in the next day or so

Wouldn't trust it in a blind fit.

It is either stolen, broken or doesn't exist IMO for that price.

Check out the Dell outlet store online for cheap laptops. You can new ones there that are built but the person requesting it canceled the order.
