there's a few Flickr templates floating about some of them look ok too, so i'll try and have a prototype up before the week-end and if peeps like it we can publish a template where you can put your own info and photo etc. in

i've got a working alternative Flickr one done in vector format so...
it shouldn't take a lot to get a Boards style one developed up..

i have the badges saved in vector format Corel Draw .cdr files and also bitmap format Photoshop.PSD the different elements are on various layers so you can swap out text and graphics etc.

whats the best way to make the examples available for downloading?

oh and having taken a quick check on the net it seems most press passes are for certain events, i noted some of the Stock companies issue ones that cover everything (for a cost) but which i'm sure are no better than our Flickr/Boards ones
i might do a irish one in green of course complete with harp

Have to agree about the generic nature of press passes. That and most people won't check em cos they're sick of looking at them. I got a 'Cork 2005' one last year for a specific event and used it all year... despite the fact that it had the event name and date clearly written on it.

Dont have to have a press pass to look important... why d'ye think I'm getting a 70-200 IS? I had considered tippex'ing my 75-300 but the price of the tippex and the fumes made it logistically impossible.

The weather has to play ball first. I haven't been able to get out for the last while due to the old atmospheric conditions. I certainly hope that will change.

no need now. Fell under immense pressure yesterday evening and ran screaming to ebay with the paypal details as predicted Roll on Friday.
