My GF is going to New York this Friday for the weekend, is on O2 speakeasy and has a nokia 6230i.
I was wondering if she will be able to use her phone in New York or if not what are the options?

    Thanks in advance

    MD

yes, the phone is triband so it should work, all she needs to do is ring the speakeasy helpline to confirm she has roaming enabled and they'll probably tell her that AT&T is their preferred roaming network while in the states.

It's 59c a minute to roam in the USA with O2. That's for calls back to Ireland as well as calls within the USA. Text messages are free to receive, but cost 39c to send. As she has a triband phone, she will be roaming on T-Mobile's network over there.
