    Nice!!

I used to live in Maynooth (when I was supposed to be studying but got carried away with the drinking ...............) & I really think that it must be a great place to have a camera.

There is so much to see & shoot there!

Nice. Good composition and exposure. I wonder if you hung around a bit longer would you have got more of a highlight glow around the church and just a touch more detail? Guess you were on the way to work though and sky mightn't have been so dramatic then or maybe it shows up in the original file?

I did hang around but the lovely glow of yellow was gone in minutes.

It was spectacular for 15 mins or so, that's the problem with sun shots, it's only worth shooting for a few mins every day, and that's assuming you cans see it!

Thanks for the comments, looking forward to framing this one.

Excellent shot. I start work at 6am and during the summer the temptation to stop and take a few shots was very hard to resist.

I start at 9 and I only work two days a week, the temptation not to get up out of bed is far greater than any desire to take pics :D
I used to do the earlies years ago and I used to see some crazy sun ups. I never even thought to photograph them, I was always on auto pilot just trying to either get home or get to work.
Fair play to all ye guys with the enthusiasm to take snaps at that hour!

Kind of had an idea of what the place was like and when I turned the corner I couldn't resist.

em____Maynooth is not in the Midlands!

    East of Ireland, not Midlands!

Was due on grass, not frost.

    Ta!
