    Hi,

I've being lurking here for quite awhile but this is my first post.

I've recently started to keep track of my 6 Person STTs using a spreadsheet and I'm just wondering what numbers should I be keeping an eye on.

Here is what I have after 50 STTs (Moved from $3 to $5 when I reached a bankroll of $100):

    Total Buy-Ins - $205.70
    Total Winnings - $295.80
Bankroll - $122.05 (Already had about $50 before I started keeping records)
    ROI - 43.8%
    In The Money % - 50%
    First Place % - 35%

So is there anything else I should be looking at? Any comments on my figures in general?

    Any advice would be appreciated!

I don't really think you would need to record anything else, i don't. I would suggest moving to the $10 because at lower levels $3/$5 your are paying 20% in rake compared to 10% at $10. Your initial results suggest you should be fine and 30 buy inns should be enough.

Just a word of warning 50 is a very small sample size and you really cant read two much into results over this population. Having been tackling the stts over the last 4 months I really think a 2000 game sample is needed for gleaning a realistic expectation level from your results. Also 6man stts can be very streaky you can run really cold in these, don't lose your confidence when things go against you.

I don't think you need any advice, figures look very good.

However 50 is a small sample and it is very easy to go through a 12-in-a-row unplaced run at this level. Try not to get tilty if/when it happens.

Also you should separate your $3 and $5 figures. When over the next few months you hopefully move to $10 it'll be useful to compare how your ROI/ITM figures are faring as you move up levels...however the $10 figures should be examinable on their own, not skewed upwards by the results on easier games.

EDIT Damn you nic for getting in 2 minutes before me with an almost identical answer, you made me look like a copy-monkey.

I don't know how I failed to notice this before. I was thinking 20% was very steep. Glad to see it will be reduced when I step up to $10.

I've already hit a 7 in a row unplaced run so hopefully I'll handle the next one better. My figures were looking way too good for awhile (ROI of around 140%).

I might move from a spreadsheet to a database where I can run queries on my figures using different criteria, like different buy-in levels, number of third place finishes etc. Does anyone use this method to keep track of their figures?

    Anyway, thanks for the feedback!

Check out the 2p2 SNG Spreadsheet on

    http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=7773306&an=0&page=0#Post7773306

It gives some great stats on SnGs, ROIs, etc and is a great tool for keeping track of your results

That's a pretty in-depth spreadsheet. I will give it a whirl! Thanks for the link.
