Replacing Critical Windows XP Files With Original

    How can replace missing critical with the original ones from the xp disc

    Put the Windows disk into your computer, and boot from it. Try doing a Repair mode installation.

    I forgot to metion the reason i need to restore the files is because the drivers for the cd/dvdrom drives have been corrupted. I am sure there is a way to do it without the disc though i jst dont know what

    You could try a firmware update, This will be found on the manufacturers Website. Very simple to do. And all the instructions should either be onsite, or included in a read-me file.
