heart rate training

    hey all,

    just wanted to check - if i'm 31 then is my target heart rate worked out from 220-31= 189. i've checked threads here and around the net and there's a lot of conflicting info.

    the goal is weight loss at the mo' so i'm trying to keep it 60-70% for 45-55 mins. (using ellipetical)

    i'm also doing a little bit of weight work just dumbells working a few areas but not for building up - currently doing 2 sets each exercise 12-15 reps.

    does this sound reasonable / any suggestions ???
