This might be more of a tv thread but does anyone know why the hell sky dont repeat soccer am in it's entirity at some stage during the week?

I miss it most saturdays because, as a lowly 1st year apprentice I have to work saturday mornings to make up wages. It's not like sky dont have enough channels or time slots to show it, even at graveyard shift time, especially seeing as they like to repeat the death out of their sky one programmes.

i believe Tim Lovejoy said years ago that it is a show that has to be seen live. personally i believe that to be bull**** and that it can be watched anytime but i can understand why Sky wouldnt want to repeat it. 3 hours long plus they want people to buy their Sky+ product

They repeat most of it during the Summer so I don't see why they couldn't do it during the week. I only ever see it when I'm working Saturday mornings, otherwise there's no chance I'm getting up to watch it.

Come to think of it, I have no idea what happens in the 2 hours of the show, I only ever catch the last hour. Think its the best part though, showboat, crossbar challenge, not gonna make it, soccerette!

I have to say I love watching this in bed on Saturday morning but the show could do with a bit of an overhaul. The segment where he does the walk with the girl is getting a bit boring now and yer man Barry in the pub is just annoying.

I would agree with you on that point, i never used to miss Soccer AM but it suffers from sticking rigidly to the same format every week. It reminds me of TFI Friday when that was coming to an end, with the old pals act and in jokes between Tim Lovejoy and the crew that work on the show.

    It lasts 3 hours, 9am - 12

    Yeah, three hours.

Setting me up nicely for a six hour soccerfest with Jeff and the lads.

I sometimes don't even watch the live game because I like watching the panel so much.

I think he means that he never sees the first 2 hours of the show but only sees the last hour.
