    Hello,

    I'm running OSX 10.4.7 on a G4 iMac.
Yesterday Entourage crashed and when I restarted the application it asked me to setup a new profile. It seemed that al previous profile information was missing. All emails as well as all folders were also missing.
Can anyone tell me where and in what format Entourage stores profile & mail information? And what is the best way of restoring these?
    Thanks.

    E.

you could try rebuilding the database, this will generally fix entourage and outlook problems on mac, the following link is for the entourage help page http://www.entourage.mvps.org/database/rebuild.html , make sure you take a copy of the files before you do it and also a copy of the .plist file as this holds your identity, your old profile may be renamed plist.old or plist.saved etc.

I tried that already but the problem is that the files are gone..
There is no database file in the OfficeX identities folder....

Try searching for 'Main Identity' in spotlight. The modified date for 'database' (which is where your mails are) should be about the date that you last received mail. Mine is in my documents/Microsoft user data/Office 2004 identities/Main Identity. I'm not sure whether Office automatically stores it there cos I don't really remember specifying a particulare place when I installed Office.
