Russia Today is FTA. Maybe the Transponder missing?

You use the CAM (CI slot) or card reader with a legitimate susbscription. The provider posts you a viewing card.

ANY COMMENT ON any other kind of CAM USAGE gets the poster BANNED and post deleted. The rules are all so we still have a site to post to tomorrow.

    Read charter.

(bearing in mind Watty's instructions and staying safe)

One inserts a viewing card (say ART) into a cam.

A cam (conditional access module) is a card reader.
Different cams read different cards depending on the encryption system being used.

So for example, if you have an ART card which uses Viaccess encryption, you need a Viaccess cam.

Some cams are multicrypt. They can read many encryptions.

You simply insert the cam with the card inside it into the slot.
That slot is called the common interface or CI.
The card usually goes in upside down ! The metal bit faces up.

(there is a release button which needs to be pressed to remove it)

With your Technomate, you should also have a viewing card slot too.
I believe Technomate has the viaccess reading ability already built in.
As such, just insert the card into that slot. No cam required.

Of course you must have a legitimate, official and paid for viewing card.
