Just wondering what film people would watch repeatedly. You know that one fave film that never gets old or boring no matter how many times you see it?

Garden State, Serenity and Donnie Darko would be recent ones that spring to mind.
Spinal Tap would be one of the few comedies I never get tired of

well it's better than the Defining Boards Movie list or whatever that is (I'll tell you what it is, goddamnit,...it's a list of movie titles, with no context, posted by people whose opinions I wouldn't trust even if their middle name was 'trust my opinion,' and that if it was written in paper, would be rejected by a paper recycling factory even if every tree in the world suddenly exploded). rant rant rant....

Lost and Translation and Glengarry Glenross. I don't have enough fingers and toes to count how many times i've watched those two, and it's been a couple of weeks since i have watched either of them so another viewing is on the cards.

Lost in Translation is almost like an experience rather than a movie and the script in Glengarry Glenross is so amazing, and then there's the cast... but I won't get into that coz I'll simply cream me pants

That was the first film that popped into my head after reading the thread title... one of my favourites.

Die Hard 1, LOTR: Return of the King (perhaps), The Bourne Identity and any of the Terminators or Arnie flicks.

StarWars. I reckon I've seen it at least 100 times now (and that's just counting ep4 btw not all 6).

Non-obsession movies aside I reckon the runner-up would be TheBreakfastClub which I've seen about 15 times.

Certain movies are great, but you wouldn't want to watch them too often. Examples are United 93, Requiem For a Dream, The Taxi Driver, etc.Others, I could watch a thousand times. Examples below:
    The Shawshank Redemption
    Dazed And Confused
    The Godfather
    Se7en
    Goodfellas
    The Matrix
    Heat
The scene in The French Connection when they tear the car apart looking for drugs (I have no idea why I like this bit so much; kind of like the A-Team building something played backwards!)

The first 2 that sprung to mind:

Not to mention my perverse addiction to watching disaster movies over and over again:

    Independence Day
    Day After Tomorrow
    Deep Rising
    The Core
    etc.

    Sad really.
