OK , so he was sitting on a bench and had his t-shirt off, he wasn't exactly out with the towel, speedos and factor 45 but it is October.. the 20th! presumably he just had lunch and noticed how unseasonably warm it was

in fact I had just texted my friend saying the weather was too nice to do any more work today

but sunbathing on Oct 20th, will have to text my sister in Australia and tell her to come back home, it's not like it used to be!

PS: sun just went in :(

I walked into town on my lunch and I must say in the sunshine it is quite warm for the time of year...

Sunshine? Really? feels like I have not seen the sun in ages cos I am trapped in my little office cubicle and there is not a window in sight!
    God this is depressing!!

    Probaly Eastern European or Russian.

I remember a picture in the National Geographic years ago of a load of men and women lined up against a sun facing wall in Moscow. Snow on the ground and they all had their big winter coats opened like a flasher but bare chested or with just Bra's on underneath. ie getting a winter tan. Some even held mirrors under their chins to reflect more rays up to their necks and faces.

ie Eastern Europeans are hardy feckers and love a tan at any cost to boot.

Most people I noticed in Ashbourne today around 3pm were walking around in tee-shirts. Even though it wasn't a pretty sight, I do endorse the whole greenhouse effect and will endevour to use more "Sure" on the auld armpits from now on.

More scary still was the rapid growth of 'shrooms in yours truly's back garden. Two days of rain followed by a day of mist and sunshine produces some pretty scary and alien fungi.

There is a guy who goes around town looking like he's just came back from the beach,I seen him only a week or 2 ago walking up O'connell st , but I've noticed him before(it's hard not to hes got no top on & is wearing a pair of retro shorts From the "Paul mgrath at Man Utd collection" ).
Was he in his late 40's / 50's, looks like he's "fond of a jar" & looking like a well roasted turkey?

let us all sunbathe in the chill of the night and a screen at the end of our warm toes.

Was sunbathing in OC this PM at Balboa. Warm, clear, with a light breeze off the Pacific.

Sounds like you're talking about the guy I call 'Leatherman' as that's what his skin looks like. AFAIK he's homeless and sleeps in Phoenix Park.

actually i call him "tangoman" but i reckon it's the same guy.
Somebody should archive all these loonies.

Nah...there's less of them around now. 'Bang Bang' was before my time, but I remember 'Holy Mary' and the other loonie auld one that was the spit of Peig Sayers and used to walk around dressed in black with a crucifix with a tri-colour ribbon wrapped around it.

yeah but now weve also got the woman who screams & flashes her bits, the guy who plays weird tin whistle tunes with a briefcase & a picture of the sacred heart , the deaf guy with a "plase give me 10 Euro" note & the weird gypsy guy who gets his mutilated stomach out!!!
next to these guys bang bang was just a mental patient with a big door key.(actually i think he was but you know what i mean):D
