Also lack of Mayomen compared to the high number of Dubs. Where are AHiggins, Heaney and Pat Harte. Played as well as some of the other nominees IMO even if they did have a bad final. The All Stars are meant to be for the whole year not the last game the player played in.

Wicklow's Wayne O'Gorman shoulda made the Full-Forward shortlist, despite Wicklow's poor performances in the championship and league.

I feel that good players from the lesser counties suffer due to lack of TV coverage etc.

Bull**** TBH, should be one Leitrim full back on that list

I agree the full backs is the area i'd have most probs with. Owens, Canty, JHiggins and Bellew done eff all this year. Having said that not a lot more options Leitrim perhaps but they got trimmed in the Tommy Murphy final. Personnally i was shocked by them that day. Heaney prob should have got a nomination not great all year i agree but as good as those named above. I felt that it was a position where some of the lesser counties could have got a shout in this year.

I felt Darren Clarke from Louth deserved an award, he was their best player when they won de Tommy Murphy final, and he was exceptional in the tie against Tyrone. Played very consistently during the league as well
