People who lose but stay at table?

Ok was playing in tournament not long ago, got to the final table there was only about ten tables there.

Well I noticed that if player's are playing and they get knocked out at final table they still stay at the table.

I got down to two people where I was sitting I couldnt see the other player or the player's chips becasue of people sitting in the way. Also when I was playing when it was just two left there was people there who got knocked out beside me they were looking at my hand I never minded but do have a bigger tournament coming up with the same crowd.

Anyways I dont feel comfortable sitting at a table when people get knocked out, for number of reason for example guy might know a fella your playing and if he see's hand might in some way left the other player know. Was playing in game last week two guy's were sitting with each other guy sitting beside me folded otehr guy was abit away when I looked at card's I never really cared to be honest if the person who folded seen my hand. On board was A A Q Q 9 guy bets I raise he goes all-in I fold. I thought he was bluffing he showed his A asked what did I have I said a Q but the guy that was sitting beside me leaned over to him and said he didn't have Q. I never bothered saying anything but it pisse's me off I know should do better to block my hand.

Anyways sure ye can imagine what it is like so anyways question is can you ask for player's who get knocked out to leave the table?

Yes. And don't be so slow about it.

You can also ask for them not to be providing information to the other players. And you can certainly ask for players still in the game not to be discussing hands with others.

Absolutely. They shouldn't be sitting at the table or standing directly behind you. They are known as "railbirds" for a reason. Also they shouldn't be speaking, etc. I realise that different clubs/tournies will have a more relaxed view and casual approach but it is your money and you are well within rights to have them move.

That's a slappable offence metaphorically of course

Was their a dealer or TD at this game? If so it is their responsibility to ensure that people are not impeding the players. I personally don't mind if there are a coupld of people in close proximity as long as they are not interfering in any way.

    Yes there was a dealer.

It was €100 buy-in with boylesports.

Because I came second I got ticket for €400 buy-in event in November could any of you tell me where I could get the rules was gonna email boylesports and explain what happened?

There was lots of guys there from the irish league so I never really said anything but if I get to the final table in the next event there is no way I want it to go the same way as last time.

The last time when the guy told the other fella my hand I felt like picking up my pint bottle of bulmers and smashing it across his head instead of doing that I just went all in with 2, 5 because I wanted to leave before I did do anything.

When I lose I leave cant see why other people dont do the same.

    Step 1.

    Don't play Boylesports events.

    Step 2.

Speak up when you don't agree with what's going on.

    Step 3.

See somebody about these Bulmers bottle head smashing fantasies.

The dealer should announce "non tournament players away from the table" if they dont you should tell them to do it/ go to the td and ask them to announce it.
