Dundalk play their biggest game in 5 years tomorrow when they travel west to Galway in a game that will be crucial to both sides title aspirations.A draw helps nobody except Rovers so it should be a cracking game.Galway are unbeaten at home all season and Dundalk are unbeaten in 19 games. The irresistable Force V The Immovable Object if you will.

Even though Pigheads from Dundalk there shan't be any bias in my prediction, I reckon it'll end 4-0 to D'Town! Nah only messing, however I do reckon Dundalk could nick this and extend the longest unbeaten record in the country. The teams have played 3 times this season and Dundalk have won two and the other game ended in a draw.

Philly Hughes scored both those winners and the divisions top scorer has 6 goals in his last 3 games. The lads a legend. Anyway hopefully it'll be a cracking game and Pigheads praying the lilywhites can sneak a result. I'm going for a 1-0 away win. C'MON THE TOWN!

    Dundalk to win @ 11/5
    Dundalk 1-0 @15/2
    Cover bet 2-2 @14/1

A big game in the Randy Brandywell tomorrow. If Drogheda can take a point home they'll be my second favourite team ever! Although, if Quigley has another 6 goal shocker against us, he'll be my favourite person ever! ;) Never confident going to Belfield, but reckon we'll win by 2! Well, hope/pray! :)

Fancy Bray and Sligo to get a draw each.

Shels odds-on favourites tomorrow, but I'm hugely nervous.

These title run-ins really do take years off your life.

    odds on is right
UCD are 4 -1 which is massive for a home team

    Dagnabit, I'm in work tonight.

Hopefully we'll get a repeat of the Six Nil Joey Ndo Magic Show against UCD. I hope Glen Crowe plays, because since his injury Jason Byrne hasn't been up to speed.

Think Derry, Cork and Shels will all win tonight.

The other 2 its hard to have a firm opinion on.

Not looking too rosy down at the Cross. Talks of going back to part-time soccer and contracts are being let run out.

We may have pro players but we have been amateur off the pitch for too long.:(

What Pighead is from the promised land(i.e Dundalk)? :D Well you learn some new everyday!!

Yeah I had to hide from the Shed Tours today or else I would have gotten my head handed to me for not going to Galway(I didnt fancy the 8 hours on the bus)

    What a night for Shels.

Derry again fail to overcome Drogheda, leaving a six point gap at the top of the table.

Derry City play Shels, at the Brandywell on Tuesday night, I'd love a draw, but a win and I'd wet my pants.

They still have a game in hand though, but our goal difference is far superior.

Pat Dolan obviously. And If I have to go into the reasons with a Pats fan, well I give up. There is so many untold tales which need telling its not funny. Unfortunately here is not the place.

Gutted, but credit to Dundalk, fantastic on the night.
hopefully we'll pick up the pieces next week.
terrific athmosphere, 8 coaches from Dundalk, another full house.

It was nice of everyone not to notice/mention the glaring dates error in the original post. Of course it should have read 20-21/10/06.
Perhaps a mod could fix it so it doesn't cause confusion for the hordes of boards.ie-ers who read it this week and decide to venture out to a national league game.

For the record, I thought Derry were unlucky.
And, since they fine and ban anything else that moves, there should be a league committee set up especially to punish the negativity that Drogs bring to the game.
