Which sticker was lost? The one on the CD or the one on the computer itself?

    Hi there.

Just because it says Win xp pro on the key, it doesn't mean you can use it with the particular Win xp pro CD you have. You see Windows XP Professional comes in a lot of different "versions", and you need the key and CD to be of the same "version" to get it to work.

For example your key could be a single user key, while the CD could be a Volume edition key, hence it will come up and say the key is not valid.

So you really need to verify that both the CD and the key are of the same "version". If they are call Win XP support on the phone number supplied, and they will assist you in activating your Win XP Pro installation.
