    Which bike do I buy
    a) 07 Trek 1000 Dicovery
    b) 07 Specialized Allez
Need to buy a road bike for around 750 euro and I cant decide which is better.

    Any suggestions?

I'm taking a guess at who snack_ie might be :)

I'd go with the Allez, it should suit your purposes nicely.

Why not test-ride both and see which one you prefer? Much more important than "better" is going to be the fit of the bike, it's not unlike shoes.

Just to throw a third option in there, I would take that money and search buy&sell/adverts.ie to find a second-hand racer. I saw a full Ultegra-kitted bike with a carbon fork for €750 not too long ago on adverts.ie. If it's a close fit then you're laughing.

    I have a 2006 allez, I'm happy with it.
Did have some trouble with the crankset and BB (FSA Gossamer stuff). It creaked a lot.
In the end the shop changed it to a shimano set.
