Half Price Gillette Fusion in Boots.........BUT!

I was on the bus to work this morning reading one of the free papers (Herald AM) and I saw an advertisement for the new Gillette Fusion Wash bag for half price! So that is the razor, shaving gel and a four pack of blades for €14 (should have been €28!) Pretty sweet deal I thought :D

It has in the small print that the offer ends today (October 17th) so on my break I nipped down to Boots to pick up this bargain. I got there, went to the shaving section and saw a couple of the wash bags. There was no half price sign, they were all marked €28. I asked one of the assistances and she knew nothing about them being half price. I asked another girl who works on the till and she scanned it and said it was full price. I put it back and left feeling confused and pretty pissed that I went there and wasted my time.

Anyone else come across this promotion???

(I know the link below is Boots in Britain but the offer was in Ireland too............apparently)

I've just looked again at the ad in the Metro and it says "Available in larger boots stores". Which boots did you look in?

You should have asked for the manager and shown him the ad.

Find Fusion fairly poor in comparison to the Mach 3, must be my baby skin. :) They blades for it couldn't cut butter and I'd end up with patches on my neck not shaved!

I actually got my mate, who works in town, to drop into Boots in Jervis Street and pick it up for me. He went in but there was none left. He asked some assistant and she said that they were sold out of them by midday. It seems that only the larger Boots branches had them in stock anyway (which Beano pointed out earlier).

The only reason I wanted it was because I badly need new blades for my Mac3, so instead of forkin out over a €10 for just some Mac3 blades I could get a new razor, 4 blades and some shaving gel for basically the same price. But it wasn't to be :(

Ah well, I'll stick to my trusty Mac3 then, especially since some of you fellas say that the Fusion is muck.

    Cheers!

Fusion is not great to be honest. It must be half price because they are finding it hard to shift...

Was contemplating upgrading to Fusion until I read this thread! I think I'll just stick to the mach3 then, though I'm finding it harder to get blades for the original Mach3 in some shops.

the single blade on the top of the razor is definelately handy though, but not worth the extra price.
