Children at wedding abroad

I’m getting married in Rome next year and basically it is a small-ish affair, 30 or so people. One of my relatives is ringing their 3 year old child. I don’t really have a problem with that but the format for the reception is a late meal starting at 7pm, and then find a nice pub to finish up in.

Does anyone know if, like Ireland, there is a rule in Rome where children are not allowed into pubs after a certain hour?

Also, if anyone has had a similar situation, how did it work out on the day?

    Thanks

There are pubs in Rome, but they're few and far between (I can only remember 2). Italy has a different culture to Ireland, you could spend several hours enjoying your meal and then remain in the restaurant afterwards for some drinks (this is what I'd recommend). Do you have anywhere booked for your meal? Also, I might not take a priests recommendation of a restaurant, we nearly got ended up eating in a monastary

We originally planned our marraige in Rome, for a number of reasons we brought it forward and had the wedding here in Ireland. I've been in Italy & Rome a few times so I might be able to lend a helping hand.

If you want to PM me with some details I could reccommend restaurants, hotels. If you haven't been to Rome yet I would reccommend a weekend away to 'sus' the place out before the big day.
