    Hi,
I searched for a similar thread but couldnt find one - hope i'm not repeating!

Booked flights with Ryanair - Did not select the option to pay for baggage to check in. It now looks I'll need to check in a bag - can I do this online now or will I have to pay the even higher fee at the airport?

Have searched their site but can't find a way to pay for the bag in advance.

    Thanks!

    Option 2 I'm afraid.
A Baggage Fee is charged for the carriage of each item of Checked Baggage. The Baggage Fee may be prepaid at the current discounted rate of £3.50/€4.50 per item of baggage/per one way flight when making your reservation. If the Baggage Fee is paid at the airport or through our reservations centre, the full rate of £7/€10 per item of baggage/per one way flight is charged.

and if you lose your online printed out boarding pass it will cost you £13.50 to get a single piece of paper reprinted.

That happened to a erm friend of mine on sunday...cough cough

Can't say this has ever happened to me. In Beauvais, Dublin and East Midlands I've just had to go to the ticket desk and ask for my code.

I think you might be able to add baggage before departure by clicking on the button for "Change/View Booking". Worth having a look at it anyway.

One thing to note if you d'nt get to pay before you go to the airport, you won't get the option of going to the RyanAir desk and paying for the bag (even at full price). I tried in Shannon when the fluid restrictions out of the UK were at their height (was flying onward from Stanstead), so I went to the desk thinking I'll pay for the bag and then check it in, (was a small rucksackly but had a laptop too so would get caught). They were having none of it. I had to go to the check in, then come back with my chitty to the desk, pay, then go back with the receipt, annoy everyone in the long queue and check the bag in (while the check in girl held my passport for safe keeping).

Much argument ensued (was willing to pay top price, just wanted to save everyone aggro, but NO...so I decided to wing it.).. "Any baggage?", ..."Just this" (showed them the laptop...) went past the obnoxious lady at the desk smiling... (then she was at the gate taking boarding passes  )..... got away with it, but mind how you go, the procedure is a pain i the ar$$$e...

Last week in Liverpool we checked a bag in because it contained all our toileteries and liquids and stuff and just kept the check-in girl chatting and when she said any bags to check in we said ya just this one and she checked it in no money no nothing :D happy daze!
