    I'm working on ideas for a one off house and am just wondering what opinions ye have on northfacing timber cladding? woul it weather poorly?

    Well our predominant wind is southwesterly in Ireland 80% of the year all round.It is a rare that we get Northerlies but not uncommon and is mainly a dry wind direction.What i would say is if the timber is treated and maintained regularly it should withstand the elements.
