isn't that a skit? Jay Z, album - Blueprint and track - Jigga That N***a, its not that the track is wack its just that if ****'s up the flow of the album everything is cool and soulful, good production all round and then they throw in a trackmasters beat f.f.s. like, it just doens't fit and the more i think of it, it is a wack track. ****ing hate poke and tone, with there sig spanish guitar sample's that they seem to use on every beat they do

Ready to die - respect. That Jamaican girl annoys me so much

Damn there goes three of my other picks.:p Kinda know what you mean about 'One Love', that Q-Tip beat does nothing for me whatsoever.

'Lazy Afternoon' from The Root's Do You Want More?!!??!Not as fun as the rest of the album, too little going on.

    One wack song you mean.

If you don't believe Like Water For Chocolate,Aquamini or Illmatic are classics then fair enough, thats your opinion.

I'm not much of a Common fan but what I have heard from Like Water For Chocolate I did like. Illmatic is a classic. I believe it has not one wack song. As for 'kast, they happen to be my favourite artists ever

Wouldn't you skip Genesis on Illmatic?Although I suppose many don't count it as a track, for whatever strange reason.

Mamacita wasn't a good track on a otherwise classic album imo.

Dont see how the hell you can put Gimme the Loot in this! The way Big told the story from two peoples perspective using different voices and styles is just legendary. You know alot people dont realise it's just BIG on this track and not two people.

As the other guy says Respect is the only iffy track on ready to Die

NO WAY!!!! That is one of my all time favorite intros! I love that catchy verse - Streets disciple/ my raps are trifle/ I shoot slugs to the brain just like a rifle etc.. And then the convo between Nas and his mates - "When its real, you doing this even without a record contract!" So cool! Illmatic is one of those albums I let play right through from start to finish- sublime.

Actually does anyone know if Nas' verse in the intro is from an actual full song??

Yeah I liked it the first few times as well, especially the AZ/Nas conversation at the end.

But after a while it just got dull.

'Party Over'-The Infamous, Mobb Deep.Anti-climatic after Shook Ones.

Thats 'Live at the Barbeque' playing in the background of the Genesis btw

Maybe the song overall isnt bad but i think Kanye West really tries to **** up Be with his verse on They Say. My Fault on The Slim Shady LP(almost classic)

'Be' is hardly close to being a classic. In fact its Common's weakest album imo, lyrically he ain't there and there is a chronic lack of J Dilla/?uestlove/No ID production on it.The title track and 'Love Is' are the only tracks I bother listening to these days.

I think 'Gangsta's Fairytale 2' from Ice Cubes 1992 album The Predator. It is such a powerfully raw & emotional charged album and this track just seems completely out of place on it (or on any other album come to think of it!)

I cant believe any track from Ready to Die has even been mentioned on this thread! Gimme the Loot? Feckin genius, i thought for years the other voice was a guest artist, it sounds like a smaller, skinnier, violent little bastard (a sort of black rapping Joe Pesci :D)

On the original American release of Doggystyle there is one track that is left off the European release or later US reissues afaik.

And with good reason. I downloaded it once expecting to hear one more tune of Gin and Juice G Funk Intro style classicness. Its ****ing muck, good decision not to let it stain such a classic album.

On Moment of Truth by GangStarr i always seem to skip the Robbin Hood Theory track. I just don't feel it. For the rest its probably the album in have spinned the most in my life.

I first thought that it was Sadat X from Grand Nubian, it sounds exactly like him :D But that is a classic track, on a classic album by a classic MC...........there is nothing bad about any of it!
