Pre ordering

Hey all,
I've never preordered a game from someplace like Play before cos I usually don't get games at launch. But I will definitely pick up a copy of Gears of War which is considerable cheaper online.

So, what have been people's experiences with preordering online? How long have ye had to wait?

Play tend to ship them a few days before release so you have it on time
CD WoW don't.

Thinking of pre-ordering GoW myself from Play but I reckon you'd need to do it soon as they will probably sell out their first batch with pre-orders.

I've only ever pre-ordered something off cdwow and it took years to get here. About 10 days after the release date. I wasn't impressed and have never pre-ordered anything since.

Well, that sounds sweet. Although there's no way of knowing if yer in the first batch. Mmmmm.

Nah sendit was cheaper for the special edition of oblivion as well so I'd say that's right. Had regular and special at same price. Play had the special edition more expensive
