Work are getting me a blackberry. I'm not sure which to take.

    This is the choice:

    7100x
    7130g
    7290
    8700g

    Any advice appreciated.

Need this for push email, so if there are any alternative available on O2 Ireland, I'd be interested.

If you want a phone sized device go for the 7130g - I have the VF version and its a nice device, good battery life, decent themes and is compact.

The 8700g is a bigger (more "classic" shape/size) due to its bigger screen and keyboard..

Cheers m8, went for the 8700g as i prefered the qwerty layout to the sure type.

Can't wait to get it now so i can be google talking when in transit.

    Any must have apps?

The Pearl doesn't do 3G yet, which I'd expect from a phone in its price range. Still, it looks interesting, and I have to admit I'm tempted. Perhaps once it adds 3G support, and if I know I could use it as a 3G modem with my laptop.

You can download some games from the Blackberry Site - the link is on the device itself. I don't have any particular apps - mail/calendaring/scheduling & address book do it for me ;)
