Anyone know how I can synchronise mail and certain folders between my desktop and laptop using bluetooth? I want exactly the same functionality that I currently have between my desktop and pda using microsoft active sync. I assumed I could use active sync with the laptop but when I search for the laptop via active sync it cant find it.

    Any ideas?

Have you set up a partnership between the laptop and the PDA first?

Once you have that up and running then start up active sync.

he's not pairing his desktop with a PDA, he's pairing it with a laptop. I can't find anything that would do this, I don't actually know if it's done anymore! I remember windows 95 had something called "Briefcase" that did this (albeit long before bluetooth). I'm sure there's a way of doing this, but I don't know if it's as simple as syncing with a PDA in activesync.

It seems briefcase is available in XP (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1646) it will do most of what I want so I'll go with that for now.

I can connect the desktop and laptop and drag files between the 2 etc. its just an automatic synchronising tool I need (active sync seems to only work with pdas and mobile phones)

    Thanks
