where are the best places to shop there? i'm staying in hollywood but have a car so can travel around and will be in vegas as well. i'm looking for some nice clothes and would like to pick up some cool xmas presents. i shop in places like awear, next, river island, pennys so that should be an indication of what i like. (i hope). would love to pick up some going out clothes (nice dresses, shoes etc) that aren.t too expensive.
    thanks

Theres a good outlet centre with those kind of stores on the road out from the Las vegas strip towards the airport iirc-ask at your hotel.

In LA, the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica is one of the best places to shop and has all the high street shops you could want! It is also an excellent place to go for a meal. I would say it is one of the nicest places in LA actually!

Also, if you're looking for cheap evening dresses or other clothes, the fashion/garment district in Downtown LA is well worth checking out. Everything is so cheap there. It is usually marked in on maps of LA.

What she said. You can get a bus from the strip and change over to go to the mall. Place is pretty big, bring comfy shoes. :)
