The 24-105 hasn't arrived yet but I bought a second hane Canon 100 2.8 macro from Marco yesterday. It was a bit breezy in the garden today but I got one or two ok shots. Depth of field and focusing are so difficult to get right

Here is one I like.. Ckick on the pic to go to see it on Flickr. It really is worth looking at in full size. This lens is sharp!!

Good macro, dead right about focus and DoF, I think the recommended practice is to manual focus and rock your body back and forth until you're happy with what you see. I don't bother myself I just set it on auto and concentrate like mental, then hope for the best.
I think the noise/sensor performance of the 10d may be limiting the lens though, it may be the perfect excuse to ugrade ;)

He he!! I'm finding it hard but I am going to wait until Canon's next move. That will probably be my last camera.

I can't help with the flower unfortunately and I've asked the big guns what they've thought and they've also come up blank.

I am also thinking of upgrading, most probably next Aug if I finally get to the States, it's either a new body or a 500mm ƒ4 L IS depending on what does (or more importantly doesn't) get announced at the PMA in March '07. USA prices ftw!

Ha, I found myself doing that automatically the other day. Much easier to do it that way.
