    Hi there,
    Have the following scenario:
Peer-to-peer network with one file server running XP Pro. Wish to allow clients access files and map drives(needed for a CRM program) remotely via a VPN.
From the following site I setup both server and client:
    http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=64926
The office is connected to the internet via eircom ADSL with a Netopia 3347NWG wireless router(software version 7.4.2r2). I found another thread on this site that had a link to netopia support but our GUI is different, doesn't have any tab for pinhole/Port forward.
    http://www.netopia.com/support/hardware/3347wvgx.html
Suffice to say it aint working(Can it work?). Any insight, advise most welcome.
    Thanks,
    Mike.

    Update
    Found another similar post:

Managed to configure port forwarding using telnet, restarted router and can see changes with view command, see below. Also tried using Shield Up but it reports the port as Stealth not open, is this right?

    pinhole
    name "vnc1"
    protocol-select TCP
    external-port-start 1723
    external-port-end 1723
    internal-ip 192.168.1.1
    internal-port 1723

    PS
Added exception to XP firewall for port 1723 on the server end
