Rumor: Bruce Campbell to land bigger role in Spidey 3?? [Possible spoilers!]

Several internet sites are reporting that Bruce Campbell may appear in Spiderman 3 as Mysterio, the 4th and final villian of the movie.

Many believe that he is not yet officially cast because Raimi and Co. want Mysterio to be kept under wraps (since Kirsten Dunst pretty much ruined everything else for them ) which may mean that Mysterio appears in a cliff-hanger way that sets up Spiderman 4.

I really hope this DOESN'T happen. Mysterio always seemed like a weak villian to me. I think the Hobgoblin would be enough of a cliffhanger tbh!

ps. Mysterio probably had the worst costume ever concieved for a comic book character, including any and all spandex covered characters!

This was rumoured ages ago. He's apparently been cast as Quentin Beck, the identity of Mysterio but the consensus is that he'll be seen on tv doing one of his shows or Peter will be at a show. No Mysterio, just his alter ego.

Though it would be cool to see him. I always liked the character.

Yes, in Spiderman 2 he was a theatre doorman when Peter attempted to enter The Importance Of Being Earnest with MJ performing.

It's being remade alright, but afaik there's not going to be an Ash. Same premise, different characters.
