Silly dos printing question

    This is a silly question I know but its wrecking my head!

    I need to print a file but in landscape as it the out put of a dir cmd i.e.

    dir \\share\driveb /s /n > list.out
    print list.out

    I need be able to fit the output across in one line so that its readable!

    Any ideas?

    Can the default on the printer be set to landscape ?

    You need to check the manual for your printer, they accept different arguments, google might help if you've no manual.

    I seem to recall that print uses the print queue and eats ram if a lot of jobs are queued to print, whereas you can use copy to lpt1 or prn to do save resources if necessary. May not be a problem with a modern spec'd machine...
