Anyone ever heard of a photo company called picture House, they will come to the house take about 20 shots, only pay if you want to take the pictures they say. does the price sound ok , 10x12 Inch E90 and 12x16 inch E140 no frames included , we would want 2 for the 90E and one for the 140E, so does total of 320E sounds right for 3 pictures or is it mad thanks, anyone any recommendations thanks

Sounds like they are taking the gamble that you'll buy photos as they dont charge a sitting fee. Pretty big gamble to make with a product such as photos, given that alot of people will grumble and wont like how they look in a photo.

print prices do seem kinda high, but I guess this is to offset against not charging a sitting fee.

Are you sure there is no other catch?? Sounds kinda suspicious to me. Price does sound high but as rymus said that could just be to offset their own costs. But I would be worried about their level of confidence that you WILL buy. Seems like a huge waste of time and money for them if you dont purchase so I would be worried about what small print they have included to cover their own backs on this one.

One of the local snappers in town here charges €350 for two framed 10x8's so I wouldn't consider €320 for 3 larger sized prints that bad. You should be able to mount and frame them yourself quite cheaply.
I would be wary of the hard sell though as I never heard of this crowd before.

And if he's who I think he is, he's not that incredible a photographer either!

Like I said before, the best business people make the most successful photographers. If he can get away with it, then why not! This lad would be near the old Roxy venue if that's what you're thinking.
