conditioning legs

    im just learning mma and in the thai part obviously your legs get a pasting!
    what is the best way to condition legs? im looking for as many options as possible..

    Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

    I would strongly recommend running, it will really make your legs strong and they'l be able to take much more punisment, for Thai boxers its a vital part of training.

    what is thai like on legs/hips? Will doing Thai for years make crap out of them? I considered Thai once but heard that part of the training is to kill the nerves on the shins and that the training causes stress fractures. Didnt sound pleasent but is it true? Would you be allowed to wear those shin guards/pads when sparring?
