Just recieved my Yashicamat

    Just recieved one from eBay, looking forward to seeing what I can do after several years of Holga bliss. :D
    One thing I've noticed: the viewscreen seems not to be horizontal. Until I develop a roll I can't tell if this is an issue, but if anyone has any advice on what could be the problem i.e. is the viewscreen loose etc. I'd be happy to hear about it.

    Good luck with the new baby, unfort I've seen few posts on a Yashicamat so you may not get a reply to your query here. www.apug.org might have a few experts to ask though.

    Joolsveer, that link takes me right to my comment on Flickr... ...you have to love the power of the interscope. :)

    I think I have figured it out (if you follow the Flickr link and posts). There is a problem with the mirror in the viewscreen, but I don't have a screwdriver to shift the last screw holding the assembly down. I guess if I want to fix it I'll have to bring the camera into DML :( and the last time I did that it took forever to get the thing back and it stank of ciggies. I could ignore it as it doesn't impact on the photos, but I'll have to get it sorted or it will annoy me.
