Try copying just the files themselves and not the entire folder.

You are using a card reader right ? And not trying to write via the camera ?

Cos most cameras will not allow writing to memory cards over the cameras USB connection , its one way traffic only , from camera to PC , this is so there is no accidental overwriting while the card is still in the camera , to write to the card you need a card reader !!

Thought Id point this out , just in case !

Well, all the digital cameras I've ever owned (3) inlcuding my two current ones allow writing to the memory card! It's just aappears as a removable disk to Windows XP, and if there was some kind of write-protect mechanism involved he'd have got an error message surely?

One possible problem is that the kiosk machines might be expecting the photos to be in a specific folder on the memory card. All cameras have a directory structure on their memory cards which starts with a folder called DCIM, and then a series of folders (depending on how many photos there are called 100xxxxx, 101xxxxx etc. The xxxxx is manufacturer / camera dependant, e.g. on an Olympus it'll be 100OLYMP, on my Nikon D70S it's 100ND70S etc.

So, I'd say try copying the files to one of these folders, e.g. X:\DCIM\100OLYMP (but subsitute X for whatever drive your system assigns, and OLYMP for whatever your camera uses) and see how you get on.

As above, thats the way mine always showed up as the removable drive when I plugged in the USB cable. Drag and drop from the hard drive and off I went. Never any problems.
