    i bought a new laptop and installed media player 11, I'm havin problems playing mpg & mpeg files now. .asf and .wmv are fine. i've was told to install DivX however it hasn't helped. Any help would be appreicated

    Try installing K-Lite codec pack. I had problems with it before and have not tried it since, its still in the Beta stages and rolled back to WMP 10.

    Thanks, They're playing now on media player classic only. How do i uninstall 11 to go back to 10, shoud they play in 10 now.

    There are two ways of doing it, using a System Restore point created to rollback to before you installed WMP 11 or going into Add/Remove programs in Control Panel and tick the box that says Show Updates in that window. It should show up there for you to uninstall.
