Hard Drive Recovery S/W

    I just plugged in my HD into my brand new formatted pc and all the files and folders were missing! I came across Stellar Phoenix which looks like a decent recovery app. It found all the missing files and stuff but you need to pay to get the recovery completed.

    Does anyone know of any free alternatives?

    Is this a slave drive?
    If so you might need to import the drive.
    Right click on My Computer
    select manage
    Select disk management
    Look at the disks. It ur data drive there?
    it might show up a a foreign drive. Right click on it and select import (i think)
    Just some thoughts let us know
