    Is it true that for a Provisional Lic it is not allowed to drive a car bigger that 1.4???

    No. Depending on your budget for insurance, it might be too expensive for you to insure anything larger than that though.

    You might try ringing insurance companies to find out what they will and/or won't do for you. Some companies will insure bigger vehicles than others. I'm on a prov and was quoted on a 1.9tdi
