Going for job with Irish Aviation Authority

I recently applied for a engineers position with the Irish Aviation Authority. Engineers will be responsible for Air Navigation Services equipment throughout Ireland. I have submitted my application to the Irish Aviation Authority. The closing date was the 6th of October. Just wondering is there anybody on boards that has applied for an engineers position before and might be willing to give some information on what to expect if I get called for interview or aptitude tests etc? Thanks in advance.

I have mixed opinions on the IAA, some of the people are lovely and some are downright rude but I think it all depends on department. For example their Aeromedical section is staffed by one person, who never reads her emails and by all accounts is out of the country three days a week.

But I digress, engineering and aeromedical are two seperate departments. I did go for an ever-so-slightly related position with NATS in the UK and I'd say the aptitude tests will be similar to most others - literacy, numeracy, possibly spatial awareness and psychometric. Interview will most likely concentrate on your technical experiences and skill level.
