Ryanair have just launched flights to "Madrid"
(no doubt 50 miles away from city centre).
I'm sure they won't last but great value at the moment.
For example you can get flights leaving Sunday morning 14/01/07 coming back Monday/Tuesday morning 15/01/07 or 16/01/07 for the Real Madrid v Zaragoza match.
Cost for the flights including charges 57.42 Euro p.p.
Hotels in January should be cheap enough as well.
You should be able to get tickets easy enough for this match over there?
    Thoughts about tickets anybody?

I intend to go to a game in the Bernabéu this season. No idea of the costs but I've heard tickets are easy to come by. Good to hear that Ryanair are now flying to Madrid.

This should be Bargain Alerts ;)

Leaving Dublin Saturday 13th Jan to Madrid,
returning Monday 15th or Tuesday 16th including taxes
    38.42 EURO P.P.

Also available on Saturday 3rd Feb returning Mon 5th or Tues 6th
    Same price.
After those dates it would start at approx 100 Euro p.p.
They would be the cheapest dates available.

Airport code is MAD, which is the international airport. I've flown into it before. Close enough to the city centre as airports go...

    Cheers.

    First 3 home games
    Villareal 65,000
    Real Sociedad 71,000
At Madrid one report states attendance 78,000, another 80,300 but the capacity is supposed to be 75,000 so how that be?

Real is Spanish for Royal that is correct but what's that got to do with anything?
The point I'm making is if you can to see them playing for that kind of money, it must be worth a look.

It was raised to 80,354 I think. That's what wikipedia says anyway.
