Has anyone got any idea where I'd find out information about the running costs of using a generator for producing electricity.

Particularly I'm looking for a cost per unit of electricity(Watt/hour??)

Appologies if this isn't the correct forum.

I'm open to correction on this but looking at Honda generators and their specs comes up with these calculations.

    2.2KW Honda HX2500 Tank capacity 3.6litres Runtime 3.1hrs
therefor consumes 1.16Litres/Hr assuming diesel(agri) @ 60c/litre then it would cost approx €0.31 per KWh

    6KW Honda6000 Tank capacity 6.5litres runtime 2.7 hrs
consumes 2.4 litres/hr so would cost approx €0.50 per KWh

ESB price is €0.1273 KWh excluding vat (13%) public service levy etc.
