Hey just messing earlier, going for an abstract take. All thoughts welcome.

Only processing was the conversion, and a crop but trying to decide if I should remove the white area, any thoughts? Someone asked me if I strummed the strings before taking the shot, answer is no. But that photoshoot will follow tomorrow :)

Was basing it on a shot I took a while back

I like the concept but its all a bit too fuzzy. Even the bits in the focussed area are a bit soft. What length was the exposure? What ISO?

I'd stop down the aperture a bit more, there's really too little to work with, but nice idea for a series of photos.

Btw, leave the white there I think.

Hmm. I always try to speak of aperture in terms of wide and narrow. When you say "stop down"...?

    Edit: Ne'er mind...

    I gave two options...

"So, which is it, A or B?"
    "Yes."

    Wider or narrower?

Ah, never mind, I read your question wrong.

Stopping down is narrowing your aperture. Stopping down the amount of light passing through.

I would like to see the parts in focus parts a wee bit sharper also. Nice idea and worked well. :)

Kinda wasnt aiming for sharpness here. Was just going for an abstract idea. Alot of the area 'in focus' has dust on the fretboard as well. Was playing with the gradient idea.

Another one from same shoot that are on Flickr
